Dried Yellow Boletus & Porcini
A blend of two of the most flavourful dried woodland mushrooms — yellow boletus (Suillus luteus) and porcini (Boletus edulis) — sourced and processed by Plantin in the Vaucluse, Provence. The mix is 80% yellow boletus and 20% porcini. Yellow boletus brings a mild, nutty character; porcini contributes the deeper, earthier intensity it is known for. Together they produce a well-rounded mushroom flavour suited to stocks, sauces, risottos, and braises.
Like all Plantin dried mushrooms, both varieties are sourced from the wild and dried to preserve their natural aroma and texture. The soaking liquor produced on rehydration is highly flavourful and should be retained for use as a stock base.
